Year 4 Fire Service Visit

On Tuesday 5th December, Year 4 had an exciting visit from Smethwick Fire Station. The children were tested on their fire safety knowledge and participated in lots of fun activities. They had to identify fire risks at home, practise their stop, drop and roll, plan their escape route and did a quiz at the end!

The importance of having a working fire alarm at home was discussed and we were all amazed by how many lives are saved every year by a working fire alarm.

The visit ended dramatically as the Firefighters received a call and had to rush back to the fire engine to respond to an emergency call.
