We entered two teams into the Centre Spot Schools tournament. Six boys were chosen from Upper School and 6 boys from year 4.
The upper school team were unfortunate not to get out of their group stage after winning two matches and losing one.
The year 4 team won 3 and lost 1 of their group stage matches which saw them progress into the semi-finals. Here they met Langley Primary who were a strong opposition. Moat Farm quickly took the lead, both teams battled well and more goals were scored by both teams. The final whistle and it was a 2-2 draw meaning it had to go to a penalty shoot out!
Moat Farm was victorious and went into the final to play Uplands A. The boys in our team showed no signs of fatigue after a hot, tiring day and managed a superb 5 – 1 win to bring the trophy back to school. Between them, they scored an impressive 32 goals throughout the 6 matches!! All of the boys played exceptionally well and we are proud to announce 3 of them were scouted for further trials with a local football club!
